The carbon front hood with NACA vents is designed by Porsche with the purpose to lead air flows to the front brakes through air channels equipped on vehicles such a 991.2 GT3 RS and 991 GT2 RS where this front hood is installed.

For all the other 991 models mk1-mk2 not equipped with air channels for cooling the brakes, it is possible to order this front hood with NACA vents closed for aesthetical purpose only and avoid to lead air flow inside the front trunk.
