When you first received the bumper cover, you might wonder why it folds up. Folding our bumper cover allows us to help you save transportation costs. Once they are heated, they expand into an installable shape. If you want to ship without folding, you can inform us by email, and you will pay the corresponding freight, and we will ship the whole package. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to unfold the bumper cover:
method one:
1. Find a place exposed to direct sunlight and leave the bumper cover in the sun for three hours.
2. After reaching the 3 hour mark, reposition the bumper cover so that the front faces the floor. Maintain this position for the remaining hour.
Method Two:
1. Look for the crease area on the bumper cover. Heat these areas with a heat gun. Avoid aiming the heat gun at one position for too long, because overheating can deform or melt the plastic. Keep the spray gun moving to spread the heat evenly on the surface of the bumper cover.
2. Once the last piece of crease plastic is straightened, you can assume that the bumper cover is fully unfolded.
Reminder:
1:Take extra care when using a blade or knife to open the packaging to avoid accidentally damaging the surface of your bumper cover.
2: If you see any minor scuffs, don’t worry—your bumper cover comes pre-primed for protection and should be scuffed completely before applying your chosen primer and paint.
