Offered for sale is a VARIS V2 carbon-fiber race hood for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. This is a purpose-built performance component that was previously installed on my 1,200whp Evo 10.
This is not a decorative carbon overlay or a generic replica-style hood intended simply to change the appearance of the vehicle. The V2 design is defined by its aggressive heat-extraction layout, lightweight composite construction, and unmistakable Japanese time-attack presence.

Built for a Four-Digit-Horsepower Application
The underside reinforcement structure was selectively trimmed during the construction of the previous vehicle to provide additional clearance for oversized intercooler and charge piping.
This modification was performed as part of a high-level performance build, not as a repair for collision damage. The hood remains solid and presents with no cracks, major composite damage, or delamination.

Condition and Prior Modifications
The hood is in excellent overall used condition for a modified race component. It has no known structural concerns, cracks, major impact damage, or composite delamination.
A hood-exit opening was previously incorporated into the upper surface and has since been professionally patched. The windshield-washer sprayer openings were also deleted as part of the vehicle\'s race-oriented configuration.
The underside support structure was trimmed for additional charge-pipe clearance. During that work, the portion of the inner frame where the original manufacturer identification plates and serial tags were mounted was removed. As a result, the VARIS serial plate and identification tags are no longer present.

Southern California Local Pickup
Local pickup in Southern California is strongly preferred. This is a large, valuable, and difficult-to-replace carbon-fiber body panel. Local pickup allows the buyer to inspect the weave, finish, previous modifications, underside construction, repair areas, and overall condition in person.
Buyer should arrive with a suitable truck, van, SUV, trailer, or other vehicle capable of safely transporting the hood. Please bring clean moving blankets, soft padding, straps, and adequate cargo space.
Once inspected, accepted, loaded, and removed from the pickup location, the buyer assumes responsibility for transportation, handling, storage, installation, fitment, and any future refinishing.
