Up for sale is an authentic vintage 1957–1958 Oldsmobile 371 Rocket V8 engine short block assembly complete with its factory main caps, original crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, and oil pump pickup. This classic first-generation Golden Rocket V8 block core serves as a prime, highly sought-after foundation for a high-end restoration, J-2 Tri-Power performance build, or period-correct revival on a 1957 or 1958 Oldsmobile 88, Super 88, 98, or classic hot rod project. The heavy-duty cast iron block housing, cylinder bores, deck surfaces, and internal journals retain their structural integrity, ready for standard professional machine shop cleaning, inspection, and prep for your build.
