This is a generator REBUILTby me. I have over 60 years experience rebuilding alternators, generators andstarters. It has been completely disassembled, cleaned and tested. The armaturehas been turned and under cut and checked on the growler for shorts. It has newsealed bearings (does not need oiling), newbrushes, reassembled and tested, the output is 35 amps and 14 volts on my test bench.
Delco Remy used the same designgenerator for the 1957 Pontiacs and resurrected it in 1962 for the Ramblers.

I have beenrebuilding generators and starters since September 1960. I can remember thinking at that time “I surehope I don’t have to do this for the rest of my life”. Well… that was over 50years ago and 10’s of thousands of rebuilds later. Only now I am enjoying doingthese units and selling them on . My specialty has always been the “oddballs” as my former boss called them. The Antique - Classic - and IndustrialUnits. You name it and I have probably rebuilt one in my lifetime.
