This single, unfolded piece measures 8-1/2" x 11" and features striking full-color renderings of four key “Idea Cars”: XP-87 Corvette Sting Ray, XP-777 Corvair Monza GT, XP-797 Corvair Monza SS, and the pioneering CERV I mid-engine research vehicle.
This authentic 1966 edition pre-dates the later “Astro I” version and was distributed through GM Styling at major U.S. auto shows and Chevrolet press previews. The brochure’s theme, “Today’s ideas for tomorrow’s driving,” captured the spirit of innovation that shaped mid-sixties GM design.
This example comes from the private collection of Mike Yager, former owner of the original CERV I from 1996 until its sale to the GM Heritage Center in 2018 — a direct connection to the very car featured within this brochure.
