Original rear hatch assembly removed from a 1979 Datsun 280ZX S130 2-seat model, manufactured 11/1978 with the 2.8L L28E engine and 5-speed manual transmission.
This is a very complete original hatch assembly and includes the rear hatch shell, rear glass with defroster grid, surrounding chrome/stainless trim, original Nissan hatch lift supports/struts, electrical wiring and connector, hatch latch mechanism, related brackets, bump stops and assorted original mounting hardware shown in the photos.
Rear glass appears intact with no cracks observed. Defroster and electrical components have not been tested. Original Nissan lift supports are included but their ability to hold the hatch up has not been tested.
The metal hatch shell has significant age-related paint fading, peeling and surface deterioration as clearly shown in the photos. There is also normal age-related oxidation/wear on some of the hardware. This is an original unrestored assembly and should be considered a good restoration/core piece.
Please examine all photos carefully for exact condition. Sold exactly as pictured. Buyer should verify compatibility before purchase.
Because this is the 2-seat/2-seater hatch, I would specifically advertise it that way rather than claiming universal 280ZX fitment. Will consider shipping at buyers expense
