A genuine factory-original automatic transaxle assembly and its original torque converter, removed from a late-model 1986 Porsche 944 (US base model, 2.5L 8-valve non-turbo, automatic). On the 944, the transmission and differential share a single rear-mounted housing — the layout behind the car\'s well-known near 50/50 weight balance.

Testing History
Before removal, the car was run on jack stands. The selector was moved through every position, and the transmission was run up to approximately 50 mph, upshifting through each forward gear in sequence. Reverse engaged properly. It seemed to work fine during that test.
The car was never driven on the road, so we can\'t speak to how it performs under vehicle weight and road load. Please price accordingly.
