Size: This heavy-duty, greasable steel barrel hinge is 10" long and 1" wide. Its size makes it useful for trailer ramps, equipment doors, and other similar uses in industries.
Durable Construction: The hinge is constructed using high-strength steel, designed to support extremely heavy loads typical of vehicle ramps and industrial doors. Its barrel hinge design includes a solid body and a central pivot pin for a smooth, reliable swinging motion. This hinge is supplied with an unfinished, "self-color" surface. This raw steel finish is ideal for welding, as it provides a clean, uncontaminated surface for a strong, permanent bond without the need for grinding paint or coatings. The robust steel material ensures the hinge is strong, durable, and long-lasting for the most demanding industrial and automotive applications.
Application: This 10" roller ramp door greasable hinge is particularly useful for commercial and industrial applications, such as with trailer ramps, heavy equipment doors, livestock gates, and large metal security gates. The automotive and fleet usage of this product is its primary purpose, including for car haulers, utility trailers, semi-truck doors, or any towing equipment requiring exceptionally durable hinge support that can be custom-fitted.
Inclusion: The product includes the following components integrated into a single unit:
Weldable Steel Barrels: The main body of the hinge, consisting of three thick-walled cylindrical steel sections ready for welding.
Pin: A solid steel internal pin that acts as the pivot point for the gate or ramp.
Grease Fitting Zerk: A pre-installed nipple that allows for easy lubrication to maintain smooth operation, reduce wear, and protect the hinge from internal corrosion. Here are our grease guns that can be useful for lubricating the grease fittings.

How to Use It:

Clean and grind the metal areas on both the frame and the gate where you will weld the hinge to ensure a strong, clean bond.
Place one half of the hinge (the outer two barrels) on the stationary frame and the other half (the central barrel) on the gate or moving panel.
Use small tack welds to temporarily hold the hinge in place. Carefully test the alignment and swing of the gate or ramp.
Once alignment is verified, apply continuous weld beads along the barrels for a secure, permanent installation.
After the welds have cooled, paint or coat the entire hinge and surrounding area to protect the raw steel from rust and corrosion.
Inject grease through the grease zerk until it begins to seep from the ends to ensure full lubrication.
