This wing nut is made from high-quality aluminum and features engraved detailing for a custom touch. Threads are 1/4-20, which was BY FAR the most common thread size for the carb studs of American cars from the 50\'s into the 80\'s. The design is cut INTO the aluminum to last a lifetime. It\'s not just a sticker/decal that will fade and fall off. After machining/engraving, the design is then filled-in with paint, then fine sanded to make the design stand out.
Note that this item is for vehicles that have air cleaner wing nuts. Modern car engines do not have them. All of my custom wing nuts come with a thick, hardened \"machine washer\". This may be needed for spacing on your particular air cleaner. Dimensions of wing nut is just under 2\" long, just under 3/4\" wide, and just under 1\" tall. If your carb stud is exceptionally long, you may need additional washers (spacers) or to cut down the extra length of the stud.
