  Installation Steps for Car Radiator:

  1. Drain coolant and remove connected hoses, sensors and cooling fan.
  2. Unfasten mounting bolts and take out the old radiator.
  3. Fit the new radiator and tighten all fixing bolts steadily.
  4. Reconnect hoses, sensors and fan assembly properly.
  5. Refill coolant, bleed air and test for leaks.

  Common Radiator Faults & Solutions:

  1. Coolant leakage Causes: Corroded cracks, broken welding points, loose hoses. Solutions: Use stop-leak fluid for tiny holes; replace the radiator or aging hoses for serious damage.

  2. Poor heat dissipation & engine overheating Causes: Clogged external fins, internal limescale, faulty cooling fan. Solutions: Wash surface dirt; flush the cooling system; repair or replace the cooling fan.

  3. Internal blockage Causes: Mixed coolants and tap water form sludge. Solutions: Clean the radiator thoroughly; replace it if heavily blocked. Use matched antifreeze only.

  4. Abnormal shaking and noise Causes: Loose mounting bolts, worn rubber mounts. Solutions: Tighten bolts; install new rubber cushions.

  5. Bent cooling fins Causes: Stone hits, improper high-pressure washing. Solutions: Straighten fins with a fin comb; replace the radiator if severely deformed.

  6. Failed radiator cap Causes: Damaged pressure valve. Solutions: Fit a new matching radiator cap to stop coolant overflow.

  Working Principle of Radiator:

  The car radiator is a heat exchanger. Hot coolant heated by the engine flows into the radiator. Oncoming air blows through thin radiator fins to take heat away from the liquid. Cooled coolant flows back to cool the engine repeatedly, keeping engine temperature stable.
