This listing is for a Blue Thunder 4.30 Small Block Ford race-only cylinder head that is cubed but NOT finish-machined.
These heads are intentionally sold unfinished so the purchasing engine builder or CNC-capable machine shop can complete all final machining operations to their exact specifications.
This is NOT a bolt-on cylinder head.
This is NOT a street cylinder head.
This product is NOT intended for inexperienced buyers.
WHO SHOULD BUY THIS CYLINDER HEAD
You should only purchase this item if you are a professional engine builder, a CNC-capable machine shop, or working directly with a qualified CNC shop experienced in race cylinder head development.
DO NOT PURCHASE if you do not have the equipment, experience, or professional resources to complete final machining.
TECHNICAL CONDITION AND MACHINING STATUS
– Cubed / unfinished casting
– Manufactured from Alcoa A356 primary aluminum
– T6 heat treated for strength, stability, and durability
– NO valve guides installed
– NO thread inserts installed
– Intake and exhaust seats are undersized and NOT machined to final size
– Seats are intentionally left undersized to allow inspection of parent material prior to final machining
– Machined with sufficient material clearance to allow full inspection, CNC digitizing, custom finish machining, and liability verification by the end user
– Accepts Heli-Coil or Time-Sert thread inserts
– Insert selection and installation are the responsibility of the buyer’s machinist
BOLTING AND STRUCTURAL FEATURES
– Features additional centrally located outer and inner bolting flanges on both the intake and exhaust sides
– Provides increased clamping force for extreme racing applications
– Use of these additional bolting locations requires a compatible engine block
– These additional bolts are optional and not required for use

OPTIONAL CNC PORT DIGITIZING PROGRAM
We have CNC-ported reference heads available for digitizing purposes.
– $1,000 refundable deposit required per head loaned
– Deposit refund is condition-dependent upon return
– Most customers receive a full deposit refund
– Abuse, damage, or misuse will result in partial or full forfeiture
This option allows qualified shops to digitize proven port designs rather than starting from scratch.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERY TERMS – SIGNATURE REQUIRED
– Signature REQUIRED upon delivery due to high value
– Buyer is responsible for providing a secure delivery address
– Cylinder heads may be shipped directly to a CNC or machine shop at buyer’s request
– Once the package is delivered and signed for, all responsibility transfers to the buyer
IMPORTANT PURCHASING ADVICE
– Guides, seats, and inserts are NOT included
– Cylinder heads are sold AS-IS
– NO RETURNS for any reason after machining
– Strongly recommended: if you require two heads, purchase three
– One head should be used as a CNC setup / development head
– Once these are gone, finding a spare will be extremely difficult
