For sale are these rare, NLA original Altissimo door-open warning lights for Ferrari 308 series cars.
These are the correct vintage Altissimo fixtures, not the later superseded replacement. The original-style red lens is mounted convex in its metal bezel, unlike the concave-style lens used on later Ferrari models such as the F355, F430, and 575.
For owners concerned with originality and concours-correct presentation, these original Altissimo fixtures provide the proper period appearance rather than substituting the later replacement-style light.
Each fixture has been previously used and has subsequently been refurbished. The fixture has been carefully inspected for cracks and scratches. The electrical contacts and spring have also been inspected, cleaned, and reinstalled. New rubber O-rings have been installed around the red lens where it joins the metal mounting bezel.
Long-lasting, low-temperature 12-volt warm-white LED bulbs are included. The warm-white LED helps maintain the proper appearance and color of the red lens when illuminated while producing considerably less heat than a conventional incandescent bulb.
NOT INCLUDED:
The rubber terminal boot, Ferrari P/N 65910600, which covers the wiring contacts, and the rubber mounting gasket, Ferrari P/N 140576, which fits between the metal bezel and the door, are not included. The buyer may be able to reuse these parts from the existing fixture, depending upon their condition.
