This is a Brand New power steering upgrade kit for your 1958 1959 1960 1961 1962 1963 1964 Chevrolet Bel Air, Biscayne, and Impala. If your car already has a manual steering linkage then this kit will have everything you need to convert to power steering.

This Kit Includes:
500 Series Power Steering Gearbox
Black Power Steering Pump
Single Groove Black Power Steering Pump Pulley
Black Power Steering Pump Bracket

This 500 series steering box is a 14:1 ratio unit and is a direct bolt on for factory manual steering cars, and is a direct replacement for the 605 power steering boxes.

Box Features:

The 500-Series box provides superior directional control and road response, as well as a more stable/comfortable feel for the driver. The recirculating ball gears for low friction and increased steering response. An open centered, rotary type valve provides smooth operation throughout the steering range while retaining excellent road feel. Notice that the mounting bosses are integrated into the casting, eliminating the need for an external bracket. Also, it will line up perfectly to your column without shims or spacers. Other boxes on the market are rebuilt units, while the 500-Series is a brand new box with a new housing, new internals, new gaskets, and new seals. This is the very best gearbox available to convert your vintage Chevy to power steering! Output shaft is 3/4-30, utilizes a factory manual steering steering pitman arm and the box is setup for flared fittings not o-ring.

This includes a 1966 to 1976 GM saginaw style pump and Power Steering Pump Bracket. This pump uses the 5/8" keyed shaft for the pulley and has a great Black Painted finish. The bracket is designed for 1970 and later Small Block Chevy engines with a short or long water pump. This bracket fits several applications and mounts to the front of the lower driver side using the 2 lower bolt holes located by the timing chain cover. The adjusting arm mounts to the lower water pump hole. No Drilling or Tapping Required.

The single groove power steering pump pulley fits all GM key-way power steering units through 1984. This pulley is constructed of thick gauge steels and has a Black Painted finish. Pulley diameter is 5 7/8".
