Installation instructions for reference
1. Preparations
Model confirmation: Check whether the vehicle is the M Sport version. For non-M Sport bumpers, the assembly needs to be replaced to be compatible.
Accessory inspection: Confirm that the product has no transportation damage, and include bolts, clips and installation brackets (some products require additional brackets to be purchased).
Cleaning tools: Prepare alcohol or degreaser to clean the bumper installation area to ensure adhesion.
2. Disassemble the original factory components
Remove the lower guard plate of the front bumper:
Use a T20 screwdriver to remove 8 to 10 screws at the bottom of the front bumper (the exact number varies by model), and then take off the plastic clips.
For some models, the inner lining of the wheel arch needs to be removed (using a 7mm wrench) to hide the screws with access.
Remove the original factory front lip (if any) :
Unscrew the original factory front lip fixing bolts (usually located at the bottom of the bumper or the inner side of the wheel arch) and remove the clips.
3. Install the new spoiler
Positioning and alignment
Place the new spoiler under the bumper, align it with the original factory installation holes, and ensure it is symmetrical on both sides. It can be temporarily fixed with tape.
If the product is equipped with a positioning bracket, first fix the bracket on the bumper, and then install the spoiler.
Bolt fixation
Use an 8mm socket wrench to tighten the bolts, with the torque controlled at 10-15 Nm (refer to the M5/M6 bolt specification), to avoid excessive tightness causing plastic deformation.
Some products require the application of thread adhesive (such as Loctite) on the bolt holes to prevent loosening.
Auxiliary fixation (optional) :
Stick 3M automotive-specific double-sided tape at the junction of the spoiler and the bumper. After heating to activate the adhesive, press it for 10 seconds.
4. Reset and Check
Install the lower guard plate and inner lining: Reinstall the lower guard plate and wheel arch inner lining in the reverse order of disassembly, ensuring that the clips are fully engaged.
Test stability: Shake the spoiler vigorously to ensure there is no looseness or abnormal noise. If there are any gaps, adjust the bolts or add double-sided tape.
Road test inspection: Drive at low speed to observe for any abnormal vibrations, and drive at high speed (> 80 km/h) to verify stability.

Installation requires the disassembly of relevant components of the bumper. It is recommended that professional technicians perform the operation to avoid damaging the clips or sensors. If you install it by yourself, refer to the official BMW maintenance manual or YouTube tutorials (such as \"BMW X5 G05 Front Lip Installation\").
Warranty and Legal Risks:
Self-modification may affect the vehicle\'s warranty. It is recommended to consult the 4S store in advance.
In some areas, regulations restrict the protruding length of the front lip. It is necessary to ensure compliance with local requirements.
Long-term maintenance
Regularly check the tightness of the bolts and tighten them once every six months.
Avoid scratching the road shoulders or speed bumps. Carbon fiber materials need to be maintained with a special cleaner.
