Installation of the processing unit is a breeze, with no alteration of the factory wiring loom required for the models listed below. The MINIX Automotive Computer Unit is designed for the R50-R53 Tritec 1.6 SC engine.

Manufacturer Warranty Information for U.S. Customers
This section summarizes LINK Engine Management Ltd’s published Extended Lifetime Warranty for customers who purchased through Top Tier Tune. It is not a separate warranty issued by Top Tier Tune. A. Warranty Provider

B. Products Covered
LINK’s published Extended Lifetime Warranty expressly applies to the following products manufactured by Link Engine Management Ltd (“Products”):
- Engine Control Units (ECUs)
- Power Distribution Modules (PDMs)
- DI-Drivers
- CAN-Lambda modules
Not automatically covered by that same lifetime warranty (unless LINK expressly confirms otherwise): sensors, wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, keypads, and other accessories. Use Messages to ask about warranty terms on other products.
C. Warranty Coverage and Duration
Link Engine Management Ltd warrants that its Products are free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and installation for the life of the Product, subject to the limitations and exclusions published by LINK.
The life of the Product means the period the Product continues to be used by the original purchaser in accordance with its intended use, in compliance with the Product’s instructions, and without misuse. The life of the product ends when it can no longer perform its intended function through normal wear and tear, or when it cannot be repaired.
This Extended Lifetime Warranty is in addition to any non-excludable statutory rights that may apply in your jurisdiction.
D. Original Purchaser and Transferability
This Extended Lifetime Warranty and its terms apply only to the original purchaser of the Product and are non-transferable.
E. Repair, Replacement and Refund Remedies
If a manufacturing defect arises and a valid claim is received, Link Engine Management Ltd will, at its sole discretion (but subject to any statutory rights you may have):
- Repair the defective Product (note: repair may result in the loss of user-generated data or stored configurations), or
- Replace it with a new or refurbished Product of comparable function, or
- Refund the purchase price of the product.
Products presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished Products of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the Products.
F. How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you purchased this item from Top Tier Tune on , start a warranty request with Messages:

- Describe the product issue and include photos if helpful.

Proof of purchase and supporting information may be required. Any expenses you incur in making a claim are borne by you, as stated in LINK’s published warranty.
If you purchased from another LINK reseller, you may take the Product back to that reseller with proof of purchase, or work with LINK through that reseller’s process.
G. Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Products damaged or impaired due to incorrect installation, misuse, neglect, accident, or external causes such as water damage
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage
- Products that have been modified or used with incompatible software or components
- Defects due to the Products being used in highway-registered vehicles (Products are intended for off-road use only, as specified by LINK) or used outside their intended purpose
H. Software and Firmware Requirements
The Product includes a user-configurable software programme, which must be installed using the latest version of LINK’s official tuning software for the Product.
The warranty is voided if:
- The incorrect or outdated software version is used, or
- The user attempts modifications or setups that aren’t supported.
I. Software License Conditions
The software included in the Product is licensed, not sold. It may only be used in accordance with LINK’s license terms. Link Engine Management Ltd grants the user a non-exclusive license to use the software:
- Only in the country where it was originally acquired
- On a single device at a time
- In accordance with the applicable End User Licence Agreement (EULA)
If the license is terminated by you or by LINK (for example, for breach of terms), the software must be permanently deleted.
J. U.S. Consumer Rights
LINK’s published warranty includes references to Australian Consumer Law. For U.S. customers, the following presentation applies as an information adaptation only — it does not invent equivalent U.S. statutory rights or replace LINK’s legal warranty terms.
This manufacturer’s warranty is subject to applicable law. Nothing in this warranty summary is intended to exclude or limit any consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable United States federal or state law.
This Extended Lifetime Warranty is an extended manufacturer warranty and is in addition to any statutory rights that cannot be excluded. Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes any rights you may have under such laws.
