Professional installation and proper EVAP system diagnosis are strongly recommended.
EVAP-related trouble codes may also be caused by a loose or damaged fuel cap, leaking vapor hoses, a faulty purge valve, a faulty vent valve, wiring problems or a fuel tank pressure sensor.
Replacing the vapor canister without diagnosing the complete EVAP system may not correct the original fault.
Before installation:
Turn off the engine.
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Work in a well-ventilated area away from flames, sparks and heat sources.
Record the original hose and connector locations before removal.
Inspect all hoses, seals, clips and connectors for damage.
Do not force aged plastic hose fittings or electrical connectors.
