These three plate timing tools are used to hold camshafts at TDC position when you time your Cadillac, Buick, Saturn, Pontiac, Chevrolet, etc.
Position two plates over the ends of the camshaft on the left and right side of the head to prevent rotation during timing chain service.
Designed to be oversized, which keeps them from being left on the engine accidentally.
