This listing in Quantity 1is for a PAIR (or set) of completely built and balanced Turbocharger CHRAs (Center Housing Rotating Assemblies) only! While we do offer complete turbochargers for your S55 powered BMW, this listing is NOT them!These RB Turbo BMW S55 OEM MHI CHRA builds are upgraded (we refer to them as RB OEM Plus units) by utilizing our tried and true custom "larger than TD04" Thrust Upgrade hardware, ensuring that these will be better than what they were new by having better tolerance to moderate to aggressive tuning, without the fear of burning up the anemic standard thrust bearings which is common with tuned S55 turbochargers. The result is an inexpensive well built core CHRA and a quality drop-in replacement of which retains the standard performance with tougher internals.
Ultimately what you get are 100% OEM MHI CHRA's with all new bearings, seals, clips, and significantly beefed up Thrust hardware so you can transplant them into your old housings and be off without a hitch. Keep in mind that even though these CHRA's are "Plug and Play" that this is still a cumbersome DIY, so you should have some competence and the tools necessary to tear into your own turbo and carefully perform the install. Our intention is to not offer these and then get pounded with support questions along the way, so if you do not know what you are doing please look into our complete turbos instead. We are simply trying to provide the critical part that a qualified mechanic would need to get back on the road after experiencing a failure with their OEM turbochargers, so please make sure you understand what you are doing before purchase alongside confirming your existing housings are in good re-usable condition (as they would be re-used during this effort).
All units are all VSR balanced to under .2g to 200k RPM and each unit will come with its own document. We take great pride in turbocharger balancing processes and perfection is non-negotiable.
There is NO CORE CHARGE on these units however if you mail in your old original OE BMW S55 CHRA's in the same packaging we send these units in (carefully such that they arrive undamaged/rebuildable) you are eligible for a $200 mail-in rebate. PLEASE NOTE you will need to contact us DIRECTLY to discuss logistics within 15 days of receipt of the new CHRA cores if you wish to exercise this rebate! Also know that IF this is not done then the rebate may not be honored!!! You will be responsible for carefully packaging the old CHRA's (in the same packaging as the new units) and sending them back into us directly to realizethis rebate, which would be handleddirectly (this rebate is tentative and NOT to be implied over !)
