Up for sale is a rare, authentic 1920s Stoverlite multi-lens tail and stop light assembly, featuring a highly desirable, original "JEWETT" brand center nameplate badge.
Manufactured by Stover Signal Engineering, these innovative aftermarket multi-lens safety lights were the pinnacle of 1920s automotive accessory design. This specific unit features an iconic original Jewett badge, making it a perfect addition or period-correct accessory for a 1920s Jewett (produced by the Paige-Detroit Motor Car Company) restoration or a high-end automobilia collection.
Condition Details:
• Housing & Bracket: The heavy cast metal body is structurally sound, solid, and completely intact. It features the integrated dual-lens light housing design and horizontal license plate mounting slots. No major cracks, breaks, or structural repairs.
• Hardware: The original bezel screws are present (as pictured).
• Lenses & Components: This unit is being sold as-is for restoration. It is currently missing the top "STOP" lens, the lower tail light lens, and the internal divider plate? I’m not 100% sure what the three lens internals consist of. The central Jewett badge is intact and tightly mounted.
• Patina: Beautiful, authentic aged patina that can be preserved for a survivor car or easily cleaned up for a restoration! Thank you for checking out my listing!
