This 340 Shift Kit fits 1985 and newer Toyota, Lexus, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Kia and Jeep vehicles equipped with the A340, A341, A343 and AW4 series automatic transmissions. Common complaints with those transmissions are rough shifts when cold, soft shifts, lazy kickdown, TCC Slip as well as overheating.

The first area of concern leading to those complaints is a worn-out TCC relay boost valve and bushing. When the TCC relay boost valve and bushing wear out, lock-up control and overheating complaints occur. As for the other shift complains, they require recalibration of the accumulator springs, pressure regulator spring as well as the orifices in the valve body separator plate.
