This is the bearing carrier housing from the upper gear unit of the sterndrive. It carries the U-joint driveshaft bearing. This listing is for the housing as shown, not a complete upper gear unit.

IMPORTANT - CHECK YOUR DRIVE GENERATION
This carrier is for the SX and DP-S drive family listed above. It is NOT the carrier for the later SX-A, DPS-A or DPS-B drives, which use a completely different bearing carrier.
The model designations look similar, and SX-M and SX-A are easy to confuse when reading quickly. Confirm which drive you actually have before ordering. If your drive is an SX-A, DPS-A or DPS-B, this is not your part.
If you are unsure which drive you have, message us with your drive model, product number and serial number and we will help you confirm before you buy.
CONDITION
Good used condition. The housing casting is sound with no cracks. Machined bores and mating surfaces are clean and true. Threads are in good shape with no stripping. Normal oxidation and surface wear consistent with age and marine service are present.
