Good replacement battery for the Miata, even for NB models
Ordered this battery because it was priced well and appeared to be the right size for my NB1 Miata. It arrived quickly, and is an exact duplicate of the Marathon battery that was currently in my Miata. When I say exact duplicate, the only difference was the product decal applied to the outside of the battery. The Marathon battery is more expensive, and is listed as being 24 pounds. This battery (being identical) also weighs 24 pounds - contrary to the listing which says that it weighs 17 pounds. If you're racing, and hoping to drop the vehicle weight by using a lighter battery, you need to find a different one. Unspillable glas mat battery for your NB Miata
This battery replaces the same type of battery I purchased one year ago. It remains to be seen what is the quality of the battery. There are very few options for this particular battery. This one is "reasonably priced" compared to the others I have found. Check back next year.

Perfect Fit for NB Miata
Purchased for a 1999 Miata, battery in trunk. This is the perfect battery for an NB Miata. It fits the factory tray, fits under the battery strap and has vents for the factory setup. The factory vent tubes fit over the battery's vents very well, so you don't have to worry about rust in the battery compartment. Considering how close in price this is to a lawnmower battery, there's no excuse for using something that's going to cause your car to rust.Purchased for a 1999 Miata, battery in trunk.
