This is a starterREBUILT by me. I have over 50 years experience rebuilding alternators,generators and starters. It has been disassembled, cleaned and tested. Thearmature turned and shaft trued. It has new bushings and brushes as needed. It is then reassembled, lubed and tested. Itspins free on the test bench .
I’ve seen a lot of these starters with the Autolite MZ label but this onehas the GPW label from WWII.

I have beenrebuilding generators and starters since September 1960. I can remember thinking at that time “I surehope I don’t have to do this for the rest of my life”. Well… that was over 60years ago and 10’s of thousands of rebuilds later. Only now I am enjoying doingthese units and selling them on . My specialty has always been the “oddballs” as my former boss called them. The Antique - Classic - and IndustrialUnits. You name it and I have probably rebuilt one in my lifetime.
