Along with the major changes in GM Truck cab design, the newaccessory Fresh-air heater was very different from prior years. It not onlycreated the newly warmed air as it passes through the traditional core, but ithas more independent controls operated by the driver.
Nothing like this in prior GM trucks!
This early core is given a three-bolt securing plate wherethe “independent control assembly” attaches. Any leaks here will reach the cabfloor!
