1979 Honda XR Located in Houston, Tx.
Placing my Original Owner 1979 XR80 up for sale. I have held on to this bike since I was 15yrs old (now 62) This was my Christmas gift in ‘79! The bike has Always been garaged, oil changed regularly after long rides, and was never left outside in the elements. It’s been very well preserved and covered up for years. I started a partial restoration on it in 2012 for my son to learn on; however, he sprouted too fast to get use of it and learn on. Upon restoration, I replaced the rims and spokes, knobby tires, muffler w/ NOS replacement, sprockets/chain, shocks, and all plastic ( fenders and side plates), grips, both brake and clutch cables. It’s been sitting for a few years and was running very well prior to parking it and covering it up again. The tank should be cleaned well and coated inside. It has been my baby,but now I have no more use for it, and my son is grown up. It’s time for a new home and is an excellent specimen for full and complete restoration. $3250.00 OBO!!
