24 pack replacement O-ring seals.Application is for Johnson/Evinrude 90-175hp 60 degree carbureted motors only. This includes Johnson FastStrike, Evinrude Intruder and Johnson OceanPro outboards, as well as the standard "Eagle-series" models manufactured from 1991 thru 2002.
Engineered and manufactured in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes, where we know our outboards. Anyone with experience knows that using cheap imported carb gaskets and other parts like carb bowls virtually guarantees that you'll have problems, and these critical seals are no different. Do the research. Read ads in detail. If the English is broken, clumsy, or there isn't any other marine-related context, take the hint. If the seller doesn't have experience in the application, how can you reasonably expect their product to have been tested in real life? Despite how they appear, O-rings are highly engineered components and they're not all created equal.
16 are needed for V4's and 24 are needed for V6's to replace all of the seals on both the port and starboard balance tubes and the fuel manifolds. Sold as a pack of 24 only.
I have spent the majority of my professional career working with o-rings in demanding sealing applications for quick-disconnect couplers, in addition to more than 25 years as a hobbyist racing and rebuilding Johnson and Evinrude outboard motors. I have both the knowledge and the ability to specify exactly what is needed to get the job done right, from the compound and size to durometer and mold quality. Inferior seals don't cut it in this application.
I have personally used these seals on dozens of rebuilt powerheads that I stood/stand behind with a warranty. It's unlikely that any other seller can make this statement, especially foreign motorbike parts sellers who probably haven't ever even seen or touched one of these motors, and when they can't one has to wonder how they'd ever verify that their seals work properly.Others can copy my ad, but they can't copy the product, and they certainly can't speak from experience.
The seals I am offering are actuallyconstructed of high-quality, fuel-resistant Chemours Viton™Fluoroelastomer(FKM rubber), not an inferior, generic FKM material that will split, swell, compression set or pre-maturely degrade and ultimately leak. Yes they're slightly more expensive than others you'll find, but for the few extra dollars to get a proven quality product, why take the risk? Check my reviews--these seals work.
To prevent dangerous fuel leaks and other operational issues, these seals should always be replaced during service to the induction system or as part of a powerhead rebuild.
They are equivalent to OEM #0335362 used on both the balance tubes and fuel manifold tubes, with adjustments to size and durometer to optimize compression and improve sealing performance over time.
These areNON-OEMaftermarket replacement seals, and other than color (black vs brown) are an exact replacement for the OEM seals.
Installation: Use a dental pick or similar pointed instrument to remove the old seals from the balance tubes and fuel manifolds, being careful not to scratch the sealing surfaces of the plastic o-ring glands. Using only your fingers, install the new o-rings on the balance tubes and fuel manifolds. Lightly lubricate the seals with 2-stroke oil to ease with insertion of the completed assemblies into the intakes and throttle bodies. Look closely and you'll see that non-domestic copycats plagiarizedthis entire paragraph, so maybe that should tell you something.
