Replacement Guide: If you’re questioning when to replace the NOx sensor, then thoroughly check why it fails. The possible reasons for failures are mentioned below:-
- Excessive soot/ash content in the exhaust gas. The sensor head will be black.
- Contaminated exhaust gases or engine oil contamination. It indicates worn-out engine components.
- Damaged wire protector.
- Visible damage.
- Lacking or excessive supply voltage due to a short circuit, sudden voltage spikes, or an external power source.
- Direct contact with condensate during operation.
- Poor fuel economy and increased emissions.
Consider These Points When Installing:
- Troubleshoot all the above issues before installing the product.
- Pay attention to its designation when replacing.
- Installed in the exhaust system, typically both before (upstream) and after (downstream) the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) unit.
- Check the power supply. Utilize a multimeter to see power, and it must be within 9-36 Volts (12V nominal) at the sensor connector.
- Follow the NOx sensor replacement instructions provided by the vehicle’s manufacturer.
- Amid signs of abnormal function, check that the correct sensor is selected for its location (upstream or downstream).
- Do not wash or submerge the sensor.
- Do not use any spraying agents or chemicals to clean or paint them.
- Do not place it close to bends (when installing in a non-designated place), as the turbulence will disturb proper operation.
- Ensure the sensor wires are hanging tension-free and create a 180-degree loop for safe play distance.
- Do not wind or bend the wire.

18 Months Warranty - This product is covered for one year, 100,000 miles after the installation, or 18 months after the purchase, whichever comes first. The product’s warranty is only active when the parts have defective material or workmanship defaults. Inappropriate application will lead to the dismissal of the warranty. Additionally, the warranty doesn’t cover the parts that fail or get damaged due to misuse, misapplication, or accident. If the customer wishes to return/replace this product under warranty, reach out to us. The team will verify by doing a thorough inspection and if they find a defect that is covered in above mentioned warranty; the product will be replaced without any charge. We disclaim liability for labor or consequential damages of any nature. We request the customers to wait until the claim is resolved and settled from our end after replacement is requested under warranty.
