Welcome to my end of Summer blow out sale of Oem Gm bits and pieces.
Now from what I understand and hear from other collectors.
Today’s listing of for a once in a lifetime purchase. You don’t see this very often. This is an original gm part designed in 67 and I was told only a hand full of them exist. That’s right not many out there.
This is an excellent example complete with a spare nos filter still in the box. The base unit is in amazing condition and was gently used when I purchased it a long time ago. Has been sitting on my shelf waiting for the right car to use it on.
The first pic is the car I had plans to put it on. A 1966 Chevelle SS/396/360-4spd-Convertible numbers matching. I decided to go with a Z16 factory air cleaner instead so now I have no need for this.

The lid is unique to this part and does not fit any other cars. The rubber connection boot is soft and with out cracking and looks like it has never been removed since day one. The original fiberglass duct is new old stock with a tag. Not a used part and it’s intact with a dealers id tag Still on it.

This was a GM design before the cowl hood was designed to get air from the windshield pressure into the cowl and to the engine.
Super rare part and not sure but I was told it didn’t go into production and only 5-7 prototype units were made under the need for nascar race cars on the race track.
Fits Holley any size carb with no pluming issues.
