Upgrade the stock cooling fan on your 1979-1993 Mustang with this Contour electric fan assembly! From the factory, your Mustang has a single fan blade attached to a fan clutch that is bolted to the water pump pulley. This causes parasitic loss as your engine has to spin the assembly and as you modify your engine this single fan blade has a hard time keeping up with the demands of your newfound power. Converting the stock cooling fan setup to an electric fan from a Ford Contour or Mercury Mystique has been a popular upgrade for Fox owners since the late \'90s. Combining approximately 3,500 CFM fan output into a compact, factory style assembly was a very attractive choice for 1979-1993 Mustangs looking for a cooling upgrade. This fan assembly measures 24-1/4\" wide, 16-3/4\" tall, and is 3.5\" deep. These measurements provide plenty of core coverage to most radiators, while also clearing the front accessory drive!Installation Note:
Because this fan was originally intended for Ford Contour/Mercury Mystique, some modification is required for installation. There are several tabs around the shroud that may need to be trimmed/cut. An aftermarket fan controller will be required to power the fan. Custom mounting brackets will need to be made to hold the fan assembly in place.APPLICATION / VEHICLE FITMENT:
