Replace your 1965-1968 Coupe, Convertible, or Fastback Mustang’s torn and stained carpet with ACC’s Black Molded Cut Pile Carpet! This carpet is precision heat molded in two separate pieces to make installation much easier than one-piece options. The premium nylon cut pile material used is constructed of 100% DuPont yarn tufted on a 1/8-gauge machine with 14 ounces of yarn per square yard. This carpet is dyed black with ultra-long-lasting dye and is manufacturer-tested for ozone humidity fading and light fastness. For total OEM authenticity, each carpet set is equipped with the factory-correct front heel and toe pad on the driver’s side.

While the underside of the carpet features heavy 36-ounce jute padding for insulation, these carpets are also available with mass backing for enhanced sound deadening and rigidity. Mass-backed carpet will fit just like the original carpet, but increases moldability, sound deadening, and insulation. Mass-backed carpet retains shape much better than a standard poly-backed carpet, making installation much easier.

Tech Tip:When you first take your new carpet out of the box, you may notice quite a few wrinkles. This is normal. We recommend laying the carpet out in the sun for a few hours to help soften the jute backing and to help reduce the number of wrinkles that are visible prior to installation.
