This complete performance package is designed for drivers who want stronger torque capacity and quicker engine response while maintaining smooth, predictable engagement for everyday street driving. The XTD Stage 2 system combines a high-clamp, heat-treated ductile-iron pressure plate with a full-face, sprung-hub carbon-Kevlar clutch disc. The carbon-Kevlar friction surface provides improved heat resistance and durability while retaining the smooth engagement characteristics needed for daily-driven performance vehicles. The clutch disc uses a heavy-duty internal assembly with reinforced springs, retainers and rivets. Its sprung-hub center helps absorb drivetrain shock, reduce vibration and provide a more comfortable engagement than aggressive puck-style racing discs. The steel-backed friction construction also improves burst strength, stability and heat dissipation during demanding driving conditions. The included 13.5-lb XTD chromoly lightweight flywheel replaces the heavy factory dual-mass flywheel in the listed applications. It is manufactured from high-strength forged chromoly steel and precision CNC-machined for proper fit, strength and balance. Reducing rotating mass allows the engine to rev more freely, improves throttle response and provides quicker acceleration and deceleration between gear changes. This matched kit includes an XTD high-clamp pressure plate, XTD carbon-Kevlar full-face sprung-hub disc, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, alignment tool, 13.5-lb chromoly lightweight flywheel, installation guide and XTD logo window decal. Every major component is selected to operate together as a complete Stage 2 street-performance system. The pressure plate provides approximately 19% more clamping force than a standard original-equipment-style pressure plate. The complete system is rated at approximately 355 ft-lbs of torque and up to approximately 360 horsepower. Actual capacity may vary depending on engine setup, vehicle condition, tire grip, driving style, installation quality and break-in procedure. XTD Stage 2 is an excellent choice for stock and mildly modified turbocharged Subaru vehicles. It offers a stronger, more responsive driving experience without the harsh, abrupt engagement normally associated with puck-style racing clutches. Some additional drivetrain sound may be noticeable after converting from the factory dual-mass flywheel to a single-mass lightweight flywheel, and this is considered normal. A proper 500-mile street break-in period is required before hard driving. During break-in, use smooth stop-and-go engagement and avoid racing, hard launches, towing, dyno pulls, excessive slipping and full-throttle acceleration. • Compatible with the included XTD Stage 2 clutch components REQUIRED 500-MILE BREAK-IN PROCEDURE A proper break-in period allows the clutch disc, pressure plate and flywheel friction surfaces to seat evenly and develop full holding capacity. Drive the vehicle normally for at least 500 street miles with frequent, smooth clutch engagement. Highway-only mileage may not provide enough engagement cycles to complete the break-in process. During the break-in period, avoid:
