The Arai Quantum-2 in Twisted Black/Red carries the Twisted graphic, a set of interlocking ribbon forms that wrap the shell front to back in black and red over a gloss base, with the pattern breaking across the recessed vents rather than around them. The Quantum-2\'s clean organic shell shape reads clearly underneath: the recessed TD-4 top vents, the slim SAJ side pods and the dual-pivot chin vent. The Arai logo sits on the brow, with the DOT and Snell certification marks at the rear. Brand new and never worn (vintage new old stock), this helmet comes exactly as received, fully preserved in its original packaging with all included accessories.
The Quantum-2 brought Arai\'s ScLC (Super Complex Laminate Construction) shell, previously reserved for the RX-7 race series, to a street helmet in Arai\'s organic shell shape. Intake and exhaust vents are recessed into the shell to cut noise and drag, with the TD-4 top vent using 10mm holes, slim SAJ faceshield side pods shared with the RX-7 Corsair, and Arai\'s patented dual-pivot chin vent with two positions and an activated-carbon foam filter. Inside is a washable, fully removable liner with a redesigned comfort liner, removable chin-strap covers, and a breath guard. Round Oval fit, DOT and Snell M2000/M2005-era certified — verify against the interior label — made in Japan. Note: that certification has been superseded by newer Snell standards; this helmet carries the standard current at the time it was built.
