Selling a complete left and right pair of custom headlights from my 2018 BMW M4 Competition.
These are genuine OEM BMW/Valeo LCI LED headlight housings customized by BavGruppe Designs. The headlights were already installed on the car when I purchased it and BavGruppe has confirmed that they are their work.
The headlights are being sold AS-IS and would be best for a DIYer or someone familiar with custom BMW headlights.
While I owned the car, I was going through the different color-changing functions and noticed that the demon-eye LED illumination on one of the headlights was not turning on. The previous owner told me it had worked before.
I don’t know whether the issue is the LED itself, wiring, controller, or a connection, so I’m not going to guess at the cause.
The upper LED/“eyebrow” accent lighting changes colors and works properly. The other normal headlight functions were also working on the car.
I attempted to bench test the headlights after removing them but was not able to properly bench test them, so I’m selling them based on what I personally observed while they were still on the vehicle.
Both headlights should be properly resealed before installation. They appear to have been opened/resealed sometime after the original BavGruppe work, and the resealing job was not done very well. There is visible sealant around the housings.
One of the headlights also had moisture/condensation inside at one point while on the car. There is currently no visible moisture inside either headlight, as shown in the photos. Since they’re off the vehicle now, I can’t reproduce the issue. Because of the previous moisture and condition of the seals, I would plan on resealing both.
This is a good set for someone who knows these lights and is comfortable resealing them and troubleshooting the one demon-eye LED issue.
Sale includes both left and right headlights plus the BavGruppe wiring/controllers/components shown in the photos.
