Durability tests for Supermaxx Ceramic Coatings
1. Pencil hardness test
- This test, also known as the Wolff-Wilborn test, is a standard method to measure the hardness and scratch resistance of coatings.
- It involves using a set of pencils with varying hardness levels (from soft 6B to hard 9H and even 10H) to scratch the coated surface.
- The hardest pencil that doesn't leave a permanent scratch on the coating determines its hardness rating.
