STARTER
What is a Starter?
A starter is the electric motor that cranks the engine to begin the combustion cycle. When the key is turned, the attached solenoid pushes the pinion gear into mesh with the engine flywheel and switches full battery current into the motor windings. This unit is a 12 VDC, 1.2 kW, Mitsubishi PMGR-family starter with a 8-tooth pinion, clockwise rotation, a Flange 2-Hole mount. A failing starter typically shows up as slow cranking, a single click, or no response at all when the key is turned.
