Step-by-Step Installation Guidance
Let the vehicle engine and exhaust system fully cool for a minimum of 90 minutes before disassembly to avoid severe thermal burns from hot exhaust metal.
Secure the SUV with jack stands, detach old rusted exhaust rubber hangers and loosen the factory pipe connection clamp.
Remove the entire worn original rear muffler assembly from the undercarriage frame.
Hang the new muffler onto the factory rubber exhaust isolators, align the inlet pipe perfectly with the vehicle’s intermediate exhaust pipe.
Fasten the pipe joint tightly with the included connecting clamp to eliminate gaps and prevent exhaust leaks.
Start the engine and complete a short test drive; inspect all pipe joints and muffler seams for exhaust leaks, rattling or abnormal loud exhaust noise.
