Overview & Recent Service HistoryFor sale is a Garmin GNS 530 (Non-WAAS) unit. This unit was pulled from an RV-7 for a total panel overhaul. It was just sent to Chris Short at Shorttronics for a complete IRAN (Inspect, Repair As Necessary) benchmark service before listing.
Shorttronics performed the following work:• Replaced the button contacts (fixing a sticky flip-flop button)• Replaced the internal backup battery• Updated the firmware to version 6.04• Updated the aviation database• Bench-tested the entire unit to ensure 100% operational functionality, including radio tuning
Screen Condition Note:Per Shorttronics\' bench inspection, the front screen lens exhibits some factory anti-glare coating degradation around the edges (visible in photos). The center area of the display remains in very good condition. The screen is fully readable, bright, and perfectly functional when powered up.
