Our bolt-in rear frame crossmember is engineered specifically for 1973-1987 Chevy & GMC C10 "Squarebody" trucks to restore structural integrity after a backhalf, C-notch, or rear frame modification.
Lowering a Squarebody often requires removing or modifying the factory rear crossmember, leaving the open C-channel frame rails unsupported. This heavy-duty rear frame crossmember reconnects the rear frame rails, restoring chassis rigidity while helping reduce frame flex, twisting, bed misalignment, and long-term metal fatigue caused by modern drivetrains, air suspension systems, and high-performance builds.
Unlike traditional weld-only designs, the GSI rear frame crossmember features precision-cut internal frame inlays that slide inside the factory frame rails before bolting everything together.
