I'm selling a 9.75 axle which are standard on all 3.5L EcoBoost (including PowerBoost Hybrid and Raptor models), 2021 - 2025 trucks optioned with a 3.73 gear ratio.
The 2021-2025 Ford trucks also have lighter rearend with lighter 8.8 axles which are different so don't buy if your Ford truck has a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 or lower-trim 5.0L V8 truck as most all of these engines don't have the bigger rearend.
The Exceptions (When a 2.7L or 5.0L gets the heavier 9.75" Axle)Your truck will defy the rule and have the heavier 9.75-inch axle only if it was optioned with specific packages from the factory:
- 2.7L EcoBoost Payload Package: Upgrades the 2.7L truck to a 9.75-inch axle with a 3.73 electronic-locking ratio.
- 5.0L V8 with 3.73 Gears / Max Tow: Selecting the 3.73 ratio or the Max Trailer Tow Package on a 5.0L V8 automatically upgrades the rear end to the 9.75-inch variant.
- To get the best fuel mileage Ford used 3 different rearends; 1st best 3:31 ratio rearend followed by a 2nd best 3:55 ratio rearend and the gas guzzler 3:73 rearend with the heavier tow package which is this 9.75 axle I'm selling that it only fits.
⚠️ IMPORTANT FITMENT WARNING — PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING ⚠️
This is a 9.75-inch axle. It is NOT an 8.8-inch axle. Please verify your vehicle's housing shape before purchasing. Shipping will not be refunded for ordering the wrong size anymore.
The old 2015-2020 8.8 cover had 10 bolts, the new 8.8 axle for 2021-2025 has 12 bolts just like the 9.75 axle, so just counting the bolts is not right anymore.
"So Please LQQK" at your Differential Cover on your truck and use the picture I posted to tell the difference between the big and the smaller rearend.
