EngineSensors and How to Control Them
Unlessyou have an older vehicle, that has a carburetor, your vehicleprobably has a computer. If so, you will need to modify it forhydrogen conversion kits. Most vehicles 1996 and newer do have acomputer. But now it can be used on cars with fuel injection. This isdone using the system EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection). EFI systemsuse various sensors to detect the condition of the engine and cardriving conditions. Furthermore, ECU (Engine Control Unit) enginewill calculate the optimum fuel spray volume, which then orders theinjector to spray fuel.

The1 Cell HHO Generatoris quality constructed of 304 Stainless Steel and designed to lastmany years. The main electrodes, bushings, washers, wing nuts, nutsand screw-on cap with silicone seal are stainless steel.
Allinsulators are nylon. High performance HPDE fittings are used,including a pressure release valve in main jar for safety. Iknow most of you are interested in the immediate results that the HHOGenerator devices will produce but once you get a feeling of thepossibilities you will want to achieve the most you can from it. Todo this you\'ll have to follow the guide below.

FIXTHE VEHICLE
Thefirst thing you have to do before you even start talking aboutimproving gas economy is make sure your vehicle is operatingproperly. There\'s a maintenance philosophy that says: “If it ain\'tbroke, don\'t fix it!”, while another philosophy says thatpreventive maintenance is what you do to keep it from beingbroke.
I\'m not going to argue that question here, which ofthese philosophies is right and which is wrong. Different peopleoperate differently, each confronting a variety of budget problemsand other considerations. So I\'m not telling you what to do regardingyour maintenance decisions. If you say “It ain\'t broke, I don\'tfix” fine with me! But look, if I is broken – fix it. Before,after, whatever. Just fix it! Now an HHO System can still work in abroken car. It will cool down an overheating engine for instance andit will reduce emissions.Yet it would be unfair andtechnically incorrect to demand miracles. And the main “miracle”you want your system to perform is GAS SAVINGS. We know because weare just like you. Yet it has been demonstrated that it really takesa miracle for gas savings to occur, in a car that is out of tune, hasbad valves or rings, worn bearings or is generally dilapidated.
Soif you want to enjoy the full benefits and the awesome power of HHO,start with a clean baseline. Have your car fixed, checked and tunedto factory specifications by a trustworthy mechanic. It isrecommended to have a good tune-up done at least once a year.
Itwould even be better to do a tune-up (and any repairs indicated bythe mechanic) and then run a basic smog check before installing theHHO System. Hopefully this will coincide with your bi-annual requiredcertification. This establishes a “before” picture, or intechnical words a “baseline”. If you then see a great deal ofchange and you want to know what the numbers say, run anothersmogtestthree weeks after installing HHO System. Compare theresults and we think you will have something to brag about.
Remember to ask your mechanic about any non-obvious factorsthat may be reducing yourfuel economy. It\'s may not be just theengine! For instance a badly adjusted braking system might cause aconstant drag on the engine reducing both your safety and fuelsavings. Similarly, the Alliance to Save Energyof Washington DC(PH. [phone removed by ]) says that replacing a faulty oxygen sensor canimprove mileage by up to 40%.Another non-obvious factor iswheel alignment. The problem may be with the wheel rims, or only thetires. Misalignment will cause drag and vibrations and rapid tirewear. A tire center
professionalwill be able to (1) align the wheels, and (2) balance each wheel andtire individually and keep tire air pressure maintained. Doing theserepairs will pay for themselves in gas savings, tire replacementsand provide a more pleasant ride.
Yetanother common malfunction is a clogged or broken exhaust system.Have your mechanic check the exhaust system and the catalyticconverter, since those sometimes have parts collapse inside, blockingfree passage of air. This is a job for the professionals, since inmost cases you can\'t see the damage. I recommend checking references,like the Better Business Bureau for the reliable repair people todeal with. Otherwise they might try to replace otherwise serviceableexhaust pipes or converters, causing you unnecessary expense. Ofcourse that\'s specifically not the idea here, the bottom line here isto save you money.Lastly, make sure your gas cap is notdamaged, loose or missing. 17% of all gas caps are damaged ormissing, causing a yearly loss of 147 million gallons of gasoline!Gas spillage can also be caused by overfilling (especially on carswith caps behind the license plate). So remember to stop refillingwhen you hear thefirstclickat the gas pump.
SYSTEMMAINTENANCE
SevereWarning -Beforeattempting any maintenance on this system, turn the engine offand let it cool first. Then make sure that the device(s) aredisconnected from the12 Volt electricalsupply, by turningthe ignition key fully off and pullingoutthe in-linefuse. Do this even when topping off or filling up withdistilledwater– otherwise the electrodes might short circuit to thecar’s body or another system, possibly causing damage orfirehazard.
DangerWarning - Pleasedo not try to ignite the gas coming out of the supply lines. A verydangerous thing to do just to see if it is working. Yes it willignite, faster than you can get away and if the gas flashes back tothe jar it will explode with incredible force. Remember that Hydrogengas is 3 times more combustion than gasoline.
PERIODICMAINTENANCE
Checkthe jar once a week or so, to get a feel for how quickly thedistilled water is being used up. Depending on the amount andtype of driving and the engine, the distilled water may last for twomonths or more. A one electrolytic system usually will lastfrom 800 to 1000 miles before needing refilling. I recommendyou keep the water level to about one inch below the lid (completelyfull is about a half inch below the rim or glass exposed) to halffull. Keep in mind the part of the plates submerged in thewater is what is making the hydrogen, therefore, more is better.A full or near full electrolyzer will be producing the most HHO andgiving you the most benefit.
Thereis no set time when you need to fill the electrolyzer. It is up toyou to do the maintenance as often as you like. We alsorecommend after using yourfirsttwotanks of fuel,clean and recharge the electrolyzer. When metals aremanufactured they go through a process that can leave some residue.After the electrolyzer has run for a while it will clean itself.This is why we suggest recharging the electrolyzer at this time.When recharging the electrolyzer we start with ½ to 1 level teaspoonof purebaking sodaand add the distilled water.
NOTE:I\'m sure you will read or hear that you can more add more baking soda(electrolyte) and increase the voltage and you will increase HydrogenProduction. \'\'You Can\'\', but nothing good will become of it! You willdamage the Generator! Ask me how I know! The generator willoverheat and produce steam and this in turn causes Thermal Runaway. The plates will warp and the stainless steel will start to rust. Yesstainless will rust in a strong salt solution.
Sobe careful you don\'t overheat the electrolyzer with to much bakingsoda or voltage. Distilled water must be used in this Generator. Anyother type of water will not give you the results you want. Why? Youdon\'t want the minerals in the water to conduct electricity. You wantthe electrodes and the plates to do that. The minerals will stick tothe plates making them less effective. Visually inspect the systemfor leaks, cracks, loose wires or anything unusual when you rechargethe system. Our system should provide many many years ofreliable service.

EXPECTEDRESULTS
MPG(Miles Per Gallon) gains are not the only results expected of properuse of HHO Generator Systems. Firsttime use: when you have installed your HHO system for the first time,after about 30 seconds of engine run you will observe a significantchange in engine noise. Anotherthing that happened on the very first day with the HHO System is thatthe engine became very smooth all of a sudden. It happened afterabout 5 or 6 miles of driving. Initially I thought it was temporarydue to the weather or some other factor. After that first day,instead of reverting to the usual rough ride, the vehicle just keptimproving by the day! Simple explanation, the engine cleans itselffrom the inside of carbon deposits while you drive. Result, less andless carbon deposits and other contamination caused by unburned fuel.
Ifpassing a smog certification is of concern, such as in the case of abad catalytic converter, an old car, or whatever reason other than aengine in bad need of repair (which will need repair in any case),the HHO system has another great benefit. It stops the smog! Evenbrand new vehicles pollute the environment and poison your body whileyou drive. With our HHO system installed, harmful hydrocarbons willdiminish drastically starting day one.
Thisengine cleaning is a continuing process that will take several daysto complete. Best results for a smog certification and a smoothrunning engine should be delayed after installation (without knowingyour car and its conditions and how much you drive) maybe two tothree days. You may already have the first smog certification fromthe last registration process, and a second one done a few days afterinstallation is something we would appreciate your sharing with us aswe accumulate the documentation to promote changes in the statesmethod of testing vehicles with HHO systems.
Inthe long run, reduced engine temperature, smoother engine andtransmission operation, clean pistons and valves, etc, will pay bigdividends in the lifespan of your engine. How about the health of youand your family as a result of less smog? And the lowering ofglobal warming and it’s related threats. These are long termbenefits for us all. Now let\'s look at what interests you the most –immediate reduction in out-of-pocket expense on fuel. If you\'re likethe rest of us, you\'d like to have a vehicle that runs for free,Well, believe it or not, we are getting there. But for now we\'re“only” talking about significant gas savings somewhere between15% and 50% depending on the vehicle, its condition, drivingconditions, etc.
Sohow much improvement in MPG can be expected? That\'s impossibleto say exactly. There are so many variants. But in 80% of the carsand trucks in which I have installed Hydrogen On Demand, they havegained between 20% and 50% in mileage, and even higher in many. Andmany of these were measuring fuel consumption very meticulously.
