The K&N69-2005TTK Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminumtube air induction system designed to fit some Mini Cooper and Cooper Clubmanmodels. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replacedby the K&N Typhoon air intake which is designed to dramatically reduce airflow restriction as it smooths and straightens air flow. This allows yourengine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air intake. More airmeans more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine\'s RPM range. The69-2005TTK air intake comes with a chrome topped K&N high-flow air filterand a stylish heat shield with the K&N logo and window that installs intothe previous air box space. Air is directed through the intake tube into theengine\'s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tube has anattractive textured black powder-coat finish that\'s made to last and itaccommodates the factory mass air sensor. The oversized cylinder-shaped airfilter can be uséd for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed dependingon driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. The tools needed area screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set and some wrenches.
