The KONI 8040‑1398SPORT Rear Sport Shock is a performance‑oriented shock absorber engineered to enhance handling, road feel, and cornering precision on Fiat 500 and Fiat 500 Abarth vehicles. Part of KONI’s Sport (Yellow) series, this shock features an internally adjustable damping design that allows drivers to fine‑tune rebound characteristics for a more engaging driving experience, whether navigating twisty roads or cruising daily. The twin‑tube low‑pressure gas construction provides improved stability and reduced body motion compared with stock dampers.
This rear shock fits select 2012-2019 Fiat 500 models — including Abarth variants — excluding larger 500L and 500X platforms. Sold individually, two shocks are required for a complete rear axle replacement. It is compatible with both OEM springs and moderate lowering setups (up to ~35 mm). Professional installation and wheel alignment are recommended to ensure optimal performance and handling balance. Fitment confirmed through 2019; later years beyond 2019 are unconfirmed at time of listing.
