PART NUMBERS
Kamei Art.-Nr. 4 2043 (42043). EAN 4001820038330. Packaging dated 05/96.
WHAT IT IS
Pair of Kamei "Einstiegsleisten" door entry/sill strips in brushed stainless steel with GOLF lettering and a small "by Kamei" logo. Self-adhesive with factory-applied 3M tape. Multilingual installation instructions are printed on the back of the card. This is a period aftermarket accessory by Kamei, not a Volkswagen OEM part.
FITMENT
Per the Kamei packaging: VW Golf III (A3) 2-door hatchback built 11/91 to 10/97, and Golf Cabrio built 9/93 to 2/98 and 3/98 on. This set does NOT fit 4-door cars (Kamei 4 2044 is the 4-door set). Please confirm fitment for your car before buying.
CONDITION
New old stock, never installed, still sealed in the original blister pack. Both strips have a crease/kink near the middle from the package being bent in storage. One strip also shows light surface marks. The packaging is shelf-worn: yellowed blister, water staining and soiling on the backing card, creased hang tab, and marker writing on the back. Adhesive tape is original and approximately 30 years old, so fresh tape may be needed for installation. Please review all photos.
SHIPPING
Ships flat in a rigid long box or tube to prevent further bending.
