NOS GS brand MA7-6 Battery. Great alternative for the rare JA-3 battery used in early Honda CB92 / CA95 / and CA160 motorcycles. (see text below for explanation)

Battery is shipped dry (no battery acid). Acid can be purchased at most auto parts stores. This new battery must be activated with BATTERY ACID only....Distilled water will NOT activate this new battery (yes, its happened)
The correct original JA-3 battery originally used in these bikes has become very rare and very expensive if found. Here is an alternative. I have used these MA7-6 batteries successfully in several CA95 and CA160 bikes. They fit in the original battery tray and bracket well. The battery terminals come out the front so they do not interfere with the frame. About 5% of buyers have said the terminals just kiss the inside of the side cover (if this happens, you can glue an old strip of inner tube to the inside of the side cover). The vent also comes out the front with no interference with the cover. This battery however is slightly smaller than the JA-3. It is not as long (front to back as mounted in the bike) so will leave a little gap at the front of the battery retaining bracket. The battery has foam pads from the factory, so the bike\'s bracket will hold it firmly in place. The original JA-3 battery is a 12 ah battery. This MA7-6 is a 10.5 ah battery. Meaning it has slightly less reserve capacity. It will crank the electric starter fine. If your charging system works properly, it will keep the battery fully charged during \"headlight off\" operation as well. During \"headlight on\" riding, it may discharge slightly and require charging after the ride. I highly recommend keeping these old bikes on a 6 volt Battery Tender continuously when not in operation anyway as good habit.
CB92 usage - There\'s not many CB92\'s out there anymore. About 75% of the folks that have tried this battery in their CB92 say it works great. Which means about 25% said it wouldn\'t work. I don\'t know why. It\'s likely a serial number thing I\'m guessing. So if you\'re buying this for a CB92, please check the pictures closely, and use the measurements I posted above, to see if you believe it might work on your particular bike.
