Known Exclusion: This unit is not intended for 3.0L V6 Accord applications.
Honda used multiple exhaust and emissions configurations within the 1998-2002 Accord 2.3L family. Year, model, and engine size should not be used as the only fitment check.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION & FITMENT GUIDANCE
Before removing the original converter, compare the replacement with the existing exhaust system. Verify the flange shape, bolt pattern, overall length, exhaust routing, and all factory connection points.
Exhaust components should be installed only after the vehicle has cooled completely and has been safely supported. Professional exhaust installation is recommended.
Clean the mating surfaces before assembly and remove old gasket material, corrosion, and debris that could prevent the new gaskets from sealing correctly. Inspect the adjoining exhaust flanges for warping, cracks, broken hardware, or previous modifications.
Loosely position the complete assembly before final tightening. The flanges should align naturally with the existing exhaust system. Do not use the mounting hardware to force severely misaligned pipes or flanges together.
Tighten the mounting hardware evenly and confirm that the converter and surrounding exhaust components have adequate clearance from the vehicle body and nearby heat-sensitive components.
After installation, start the engine and inspect each flange connection for exhaust leakage. Recheck mounting hardware after the initial heat cycle when appropriate.
A damaged or failed converter can sometimes be the result of another engine or fuel-control problem. Active misfires, excessive fuel delivery, oil consumption, coolant entering the combustion chambers, or unresolved engine-management faults should be diagnosed before installing a replacement converter.
