Before installation, switch off the engine and allow the vehicle to cool. Relieve the fuel-system pressure according to the vehicle manufacturer's service procedure. Disconnect the required fuel lines/connectors from the existing assembly, noting their original positions.
Remove the old filter assembly and sealing components. Clean the mounting/sealing surface and install the new gasket or seal supplied with the kit. Fit the replacement filter assembly and cap, then reconnect all fuel lines in their correct positions.
After installation, prime the fuel system if required by the vehicle and start the engine. Inspect all connections carefully for fuel leakage before driving. Professional installation is recommended if you are unfamiliar with fuel-system servicing.
