Summary: First lesson...if you pull the shaft out to remove the vacuum advance, it will create challenges getting the gear installed. For whatever reason, the counterweights obstruct the shaft from full insertion...which will make getting the gear on nearly impossible as the shaft and gear holes won't completely align. Additionally...it sticks out quite a bit further than the OE dizzy. It sticks out far enough to bind with the wire coming off the coil when using the OE coil mount. So far, haven't found an aftermarket coil mount that solves my clearance problem...I'd like just a bit more than what I have. I'm still trying to get the dizzy set "right". It's installed and wired up proper...just messing with springs for advance curve, trying to find the sweet spot. Long story short...the dizzy works but will create clearance challenges if using the factory coil location.
