This is Prototype OEM GM Chevy 427 Dual Flags Air Cleaner Emblem. It is brand new old stock and never installed on a vehicle. This is an extremely rare factory prototype emblem produced by a certified supplier to General Motors specifically for the Chevrolet 427 big-block engine. Intended for the air cleaner lid on early 427-equipped Corvettes, this piece features the classic dual crossed flags (one red Chevrolet flag and one checkered racing flag) with bold \"427\" lettering.
It was created as a metal emblem sample for a Corvette test car that GM sent to California for magazine evaluation. After testing, the magazines and GM ultimately chose to use a decal instead of this emblem for production vehicles, so this design was never used on any regular production car—making it a true one-of-a-kind piece of Corvette and GM engineering history.
