This is a magnetic cover for the hole the slide-out push rod passes through on an RV or fifth wheel.
When the slide is in or out, the push rod still leaves a round opening in the frame. Mice use that gap to get into the underbelly. This guard slips around the rod and snaps to the steel frame so that opening is closed.
It is made for a 1 3/4 inch push rod. The guard itself is 4 inches by 4 inches and 1/4 inch thick. A slot in one side lets it go around the rod without taking the rod out.
It is printed in flexible TPU, not metal and not rigid plastic. Four neodymium magnets are sealed inside the plastic, so no metal is exposed to rust or scratch the slide. The magnets hold it in place. The TPU flexes when the push rod moves up and down as the slide extends or retracts. Rigid guards crack or gouge the slide at that point. This one moves with the rod.
Install: slip the slot around the 1 3/4 inch push rod, then let the magnets snap to the frame. No screws, no tools.
One guard per order. Weight is about 50 grams. Message a photo of your opening if you want a fit check before you buy.
